Here’s a quick look at what we’ll be doing during your treatment so you know exactly what’s happening every step of the way:
1. Deep Cleanse
We’ll start by giving your hair a deep cleanse using a clarifying shampoo. This helps remove any buildup and opens up the hair cuticle so it’s fully ready to receive the treatment. Your hair will feel squeaky clean after this step!
2. Drying Your Hair
Next, we’ll gently dry your hair. Depending on your hair type, we’ll either leave it slightly damp or dry it fully to prep for the treatment.
3. Applying the Treatment
We’ll then apply the MK BTX Smoothing Treatment to your hair in small sections. Don’t worry—this is done carefully and doesn’t go on the scalp. We’ll evenly comb it through so each strand is treated.
4. Letting the Treatment Work Its Magic
Once applied, the treatment will sit on your hair for a bit—usually around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your hair’s texture and condition. This gives it time to deeply nourish, repair, and smooth.
5. Rinsing (Just a Little)
Afterward, we’ll do a light rinse to remove some of the excess product, but we’ll leave enough in your hair to give you the best smoothing results.
6. Blow-Dry & Seal
We’ll blow-dry your hair completely and then use a professional flat iron to seal the treatment in. This is the part that locks in all the goodness and gives you that smooth, frizz-free finish.
7. Aftercare & Maintenance
You’ll wait 24 hours before your first wash, using the special MK shampoo and conditioner we recommend. To keep your hair looking flawless, we’ll also go over the best aftercare products to use at home.
